Testimonial from Jill Northwood

David married my sister in 1988 and I have known him since 1986. I have never met a kinder and more gentler man. He has been described by me on more than one occasion as the “perfect brother-in-law”. He has been a very good husband to my sister and an excellent father to his two sons and my three sons think he is a brilliant uncle.

David worked alongside both my Mother and Father in their shop and as their health deteriorated they could not have managed their shop without his help and support.David and my Mum got on extremely well.
Whilst he was on bail for the murder of my Mother David lived with my family.

David is not a murderer and I believe their has been a miscarriage of justice.

Testimonial from Christine Brown

David Hill is my younger brother. When he was charged with the murder of his Mother-In-Law, Molly, I and the rest of our family were totally shocked as we knew he was completely innocent. David is a kind, caring, patient and loving son, brother, brother-in-law and Uncle. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him. I have never seen him lose his temper or say a bad word against anybody. He is well liked by his many friends and customers and would give his time, help and advice to anyone with a problem. David lives for his family especially his adored wife and much loved sons.

There is no way that David is a murderer and I strongly believe that this conviction is a serious miscarriage of Justice.

Testimonial from Jayne, Keith, Jonathan and Nicholas Campbell

David is the brother-in-law of my old college friend. My husband and I first met David when his nephew Christopher was first adopted by his parents 21 years ago. David visited us at our home when visiting the new member of his, soon to be, family at this time. Over the years we came to know David very well as a loving husband, father, son, friend and, more importantly, son-in-law. David loved his mother and father-in law as his own parents and there is no way that he could have committed this horrific crime against Molly.

When David was first arrested for this appalling crime, our family opened our doors to him as part of his bail conditions, With two sons who were impressionable teenagers, we did not take this decision lightly. Alongside David, we experienced the horror of the fabricated accusations made against him. Our whole family (including my 78 year old mother who had become a good friend to Molly) were soon to have our fears confirmed, that the charges brought against David were incomprehensible. David is not a murderer, quite the opposite, he is a kind gentle man who would do anything for anybody.
Throughout the six months that David shared our home, his warmth and kindness enhanced our family’s lives. Both of my sons, just like my husband and I, think that he is a fantastic guy. Such a warm caring person could not commit this horrendous crime and, sadly, the true perpetrator is still at large – never having been investigated appropriately
