I don’t know David Hill, but I know my sister – who emailed this site to me – and she would not have done so if she thought David Hill to be guilty. I have known Dave since he was a very young man. He is one of the nicest, most genr=erous and genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to have met. I believe that this case along with many others is an example of how the jury sytem is a complete mess! How these 12 or 11 people in this case came to the conclusion that David Hill is guilty beyond ALL REASONABLE DOUBT must be questioned! You only need to see the support he has recieved from his family and others to realise that hes not capable of this crime.

i dont know david my mum went to little school with him but on my work experiance at the probation office i visited him with his probation officer in prison and it made me cry when i came home as i totally believe he is innocent i think that the british legal system totally sucks! what kind of thick narrow minded people could even for a second think that david could have done this!! it makes me sick and i wish i could help him!!
David Hill is my cousin, the son of my father’s brother. I’ve known him all my life. He did not kill Molly. I am incredulous at his conviction and it must be overturned at the earliest opportunity and the person who DID commit this crime brought to justice.

It was a nasty murder and the police were under pressure to find a culprit. David was the soft target for the police to latch on to, so their conviction statistics look good. He is a victim of the pressure to find a “quick fix” instead of looking deeper into the crime to find the real murderer.
It would not be the first time that the police have forced an unsafe conviction to meet targets and I hope it is not too long before the appeal succeeds.

Two crimes have been commited the murder of Molly a friend for 35 years and the imprisonment of David who has never hurt anyone.
The police should be ashamed of themselves. I have always respected our justice system, now it scares me. Dave is a decent family man with a lovely family. Give him the appeal and freedom he deserves.

After meeting David on several occasions the court sentence shocked me. The idea that reasonable doubt, riddled throughout the case has been ignored and cast aside, I feel an innocent man has been wrongly accused. I am quite appalled at the court system procedure in jailing a possible innocent man.
I never personally knew David, however, from meeting his family and friends i find it appalling that this conclusion has been derived. It’s unfair and i feel he has been wrongly accused. The courts should correct this horrible mistake

my wife Audrey and I worked opposite David for two years. Audrey sadly died three years ago. I read a poster in a car window in Doncaster and decided to look the case up. After reading as much as I can find, I had to back this campaign. I hope David Hill is given leave for appeal and more importantly justice is done with his release. RIP Molly.
I write this on behalf of my husband who is the manager of the wholesalers where David and family shopped. He knew David and Mollie well. He was devasted when he found out about the conviction. We were abroad and were notified by text.It made a big impacton the holiday. My husband has spent many many hours talking and worrying about David. He is adamant that there is no possibility of him being guilty. Although I have never met David or his family the strength of my husbands belief caused me to take the time to write this and support David.
I don’t know much about this case, but I do know that one of the most fundamental tenets of law is that it is better to let ten guilty men go free than to hang one innocent man.
